Harrington Investments actively seeks to influence public corporations to promote positive social change, improve environmental performance and disclosure, and enhance corporate responsibility. Some of our efforts toward these goals include:

• Communicating directly with corporate management, as well as elected and appointed government officials, on social, environmental and human rights issues.
• Filing and co-filing shareholder proposals to voice our concerns and to encourage a productive dialogue with corporate management on important social and environmental issues.
• Collaborating and coordinating shareholder advocacy with national shareholder organizations.
• Encouraging companies to initiate innovative environmental policies, and take responsibility for environmental impacts.
• Encouraging companies to incorporate codes of conduct for workers in U.S. companies to ensure better human and labor rights.
